Class Descriptions

”True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.” – Aadil Palkhivala

Beginner's Yoga

This class is designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga. Class is slower paced than an all-levels class, and focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Come to learn, play, and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. All bodies are welcome.

Gentle Yoga

This class combines gentle movement to lengthen and strengthen muscles, Yin postures for healthy joints and ligaments, and/or restorative postures to help bring the body into rest and digest, regulating the parasympathetic nervous system while bringing an overall feeling of relaxation to the mind and body.

Gentle Hatha

Gentle Hatha was created to be accessible to all types of students, and to support their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. This class seeks to provide modifications to common yoga poses. This form of yoga helps increase mobility and flexibility in a slow well rounded approach.

Gentle/
All Levels

This class creates the opportunity for us to meet ourselves just as we arrive on the mat.  With gentle movements and modifications for every body we can explore and open with breath, the areas that hold tension and release the whole body, mind and spirit into freedom. Prop possibilities can include blocks, bolsters, a chair and strap.  Come see and get free!

Midweek Reset

Take pause! This class brings gentle and restorative postures combined with mindfulness practice, pranayama (breathwork), mantra (affirmation), uplifiting readings, aromatherapy, and meditation to help you reset from your busy week.

Moving Meditation

This class combines elements of Qi Gong and Yoga to bring a meditative experience to your movement practice.

Suitable for all levels of experience.

Not Your Avg. Chair Yoga

In this class, we use the chair as a prop in the same way we use blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets to help guide our bodies safely and comfortably into and out of yoga postures. Props help to make the practice of Yoga postures accessible for most bodies.

This class is not only suitable for those brand new to yoga but for seasoned practitioners as well! Come enjoy the experience of a new kind of Yoga prop to help enhance and deepen your practice.

Power Flow

Power Flow links the body movement with breath to create a dynamic flow of poses. This is a vigorous, detoxifying, strength-based class, working the body to the core, building flexibility, and endurance. Weaving together wisdom teachings and music to inspire physical, energetic, mental, intuitive, and blissful states of consciousness.

Be prepared to sweat! This class is suitable for intermediate to advanced practitioners. The practitioner should have a basic understanding of yoga asana (posture) alignment.

Restore & Unwind

This Restorative Yoga practice is a gentle, slow, still style of yoga that involves long, passive holds in a series of 4-6 restful poses using props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks and more. Most restorative yoga classes include a combination of therapeutic elements like essential oils, touch assistance, guided meditation and soothing music.

Restorative yoga helps balance the mind and body, relieve tension and anxiety, improve the immune system, stretch deep fascia, increase flexibility and pave the way for meditation.

Slow Flow

Slow Flow classes are a combination of Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga, with fewer transitions than Vinyasa yoga and more flow than Hatha yoga. Slow Flow classes help you find the space between poses while still retaining the gentle rhythm of a flow yoga class.

Sweat & Flow (non heated)

Vinyasa Flow is one of the most popular styles of Yoga practiced in the west. In this class you will be guided through elegant flows that are meant to nurture the feminine and masculine energy in the body through strengthening and stretching in an atmosphere in which you are free to practice intuitively.

In Sanskrit vinyasa means “to place in a special way,” and is characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.

This class often ends with either a guided meditation, mantra singing or sound immersion.

While “yang” yoga focuses on your muscles, yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.

Suitable for all experience levels.
